Welcome to the ARt diSTriCt a place where the business of creativity happens! A creative destination where painters, photographers, collectors, designers and art lovers of all kinds gather to connect, collaborate, and celebrate creativity!

Grab a cup of your favorite beverage and from the comfort of your living room couch (or take a break from your hectic day at the office) and start exploring our virtual streets filled with fine art and photography from around the world!

In celebration of her passion for the arts Pamela Williams is rolling out her new ARt diSTriCt Magazine, Facebook Group and Fine Art America Group and Google+ Collection and Pinterest Board. Our new artist group on Fine Art America is now one month old and has achieved a number one ranking . With over 700 member artists from around the world it has become a hub of activity for its members. The plan here at the magazine is to share with you "the Art Lover" some one-on-one interviews, showcase artists, keep you informed on events, news, promotions and CELEBRATE the  creative arts!

Here is a short video highlighting a few favorites from the ARt diSTriCt groups recent "Avenue Blue" themed gallery on Fine Art America.

Please stop by any of our venues and visit the virtual streets of the ARt diSTriCt. Visit the artists work and don't forget to feed them (they are starving) by sharing their work on social media or purchasing one of Fine Art America's guaranteed prints, canvas, mugs, cards, towels or totes. (did I mention they have a 30-day money back guarantee) Greeting Cards and coffee mugs are an affordable way to get your feet wet and show off your art purchase with your friends and family. Hey, you need a card for Mom right? Why not give her a piece of art at the same time!

To get things started this month we will highlight Pamela - a lifetime lover of the arts. It was only natural for her to wind up creating her own virtual ARt diSTriCt. She grew up dancing, acting and creating. Her creative juices range from dance classes beginning at age two, attending the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1981, to acting, directing and choreographing numerous community theatre and church productions. She met her husband on stage and her children have become quite artistic themselves! Of course there was never a shortage of finger paints and "stuff" to create with. If the kids saw something they liked....Mama Pam would always say, "we can make that ourselves"!

In 2010 she and her husband moved to Orlando, Florida where she decided to go work for Disney World and landed the coveted Photopass Photographer position. Photography became her newest creative passion and what was once a hobby began to consume her life. They say do what you love......and that is exactly what she did!

Her about page states: "Capturing moments in time is a passion, Sharing those moments with others is a pure joy! Thank you for joining Pamela's photographic journey and remember to share the adventure with your friends and family........your kindness will be forever appreciated! Ten Percent of all profits made from Pamela's Fine Art Photography collections will go to Alex's Lemonade Stand. The money will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. As a two time adult cancer survivor I find it unimaginable for a child to have to deal with this overwhelming disease. Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Thanks for your support! You can visit Pamela's art collections here:

Thank you for connecting with us and don't forget to celebrate the arts !

Sing, Dance, Paint...............see you in the Art diSTricT

Arts district

**From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An arts district is a demarcated urban area, usually on the periphery of a city center, intended to create a 'critical mass' of places of cultural consumption - such as art galleriesdance clubstheatresart cinemas, music venues, and public squares for performances. Such an area is usually encouraged by public policy-making and planning, but sometimes occurs spontaneously. It is associated with allied service-industry jobs like cafes, printers, fashion outlets, restaurants, and a variety of 'discreet services' (see the back-page small-ads of almost any cultural events-listings magazine).
